yes we are enjoying our European holiday, travelling through Europe by #interrail. What a great way to travel.

We went from Netherlands through Germany, Czech rep., Poland now in Lilthuania. And still more to go. Couldn't be more European!

It is so sad to read your great page about Schengen and then remember how we are destroying this wonderful idea because of immigration fearmongering of right-wing parties. The EU must put an end to these terrible borders in the Schengen area.

Question: Why was there a German Federal Police checkpoint on the A60 a few hundred meters from the Belgian border last Friday? Are you aware of that or should I send a formal treaty violation complaint so that you can investigate?

Schengen is awesome indeed! When it is respected by Member States. Which hasn't been the case for quite some time, unfortunately. The @EUCommission should start the infringement procedure against Member States that do not respect the Schengen borders code.

There are LITERALLY BORDER CONTROLS NEAR THE SCHENGEN BORDER!

I am sorry, but this used to be true, it isn't any more. It would be great if we could still travel freely, but border controls are used again nearly everywhere.
I hate this fearful, right-wing fascism-nearing politics spreading and poisoning Europe as an idea.
